Come stay with us for a week Saturday to Saturday during the great vacation times listed below and we'll pay you $100 for gas money! That's right, a 100 bucks total to make your trip here less painful at the pump and discover what a great place Northwind Lodge is for you and your family to stay. Nothing says adventure like a vacation to northern Minnesota and you are invited! 1. Enjoy staying in a simple cabin in the woods. See what it's like to not be pampered in every wimpy detail. Fake, bossy, ornery people aren't allowed. Fork over your PDA at check-in, get it back at check-out. Politely tell boss to go jump for a week - you can't be reached. Cellphones don't work here - really!

2. Go fishing on Jasper Lake. Catch big fish or die trying - what a way to go!

3. Take a hike in the woods. Befriend a bear. No, stay away from bears....seriously. They only look cuddly and they bite.

4. Paddle a canoe in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area - It's famous, you know!

5. Go into Ely for your "people-noise" fix. We know how you modern city-folks can only withstand peace and quiet in small, limited, bursts. For a small additional fee, we can operate a police siren around your cabin at night so you can feel safe and like you belong. Kidding.

6. Paddle a kayak around Jasper Lake. Yes, it's easy.

7. Sit in an Adirondack chair on the beach, read a book, enjoy a beverage. Also easy.

8. Build an evening campfire down by the beach - watch the stars and stay warm.

9. Build a day time campfire by the waterfall - watch your marshmallow. Get sticky.

10. Sleep late because the creek through the property makes it sound like it's still raining outside. Why get up when it's so nice and warm in the bed?

11. Fillet your fish down at the fish house, fry them up at the cabin.

12. Go to Glacier pond and cast from shore for trout.

13. Portage into Wood Lake, row a boat all over creation, fish for walleyes.

14. Skip fishing for the afternoon, go shopping 500 feet away from your cabin at Red Rock. Don't worry - Red Rock is still way out in the woods just like you.

15. Take a Yoga Class with Annette right here. She holds an advanced certification and is an exceptionally good instructor for all levels. Namaste.
