Rustic Cabins at Northwind Lodge

Our Rustic Cabins are located remotely and have limited facilities available to them. Both of our Rustic Cabins have outhouses. Grandpa's Log Cabin has cold running water and electricity available and the Island Cabin does not. The Island Cabin has gas lights. Check out the links below for more details and lots of photos.

For vacationers seeking a unique wilderness adventure not found anywhere else, these cabins provide comfortable remote hideaways with more privacy. Both have basic cooking and eating utensils, bed linens, and outhouses. Complete bathrooms with hot showers, lavatories and flush toilets are available on the mainland near the Lodge.

An inviting cabin on a magnificent 7 1/2 acre island. Log and knotty pine interior, deck, gas lights, gas range, cooler, glass front wood heater, and outdoor gas grill on the deck. No electricity. Originally built by Joe Baltich, Sr. and Paula for their own place "away from the resort." A canoe is provided with the island. No running water except… when you run to the lodge to get it! Grandpa's Log Cabin

This was the first cabin built here in 1939 by Frank Baltich, Sr. All log construction on a steep shore of Jasper Lake accessible only by hiking trail or water. Wake up to a spectacular view of Jasper Lake only 20 paces from the bedroom windows. This cabin has electric lighting, gas range, electric refrigerator, eating and cooking utensils, cold running water, outdoor gas grill, and outhouse. There is no indoor bathroom. Less Than Full Week Cabin Rentals: Stand-alone Cabins at Northwind Lodge can be rented for less than a week during May 10 to June 14 and August 31 to September 27. A two-night minimum rental is required.

Main Season Cabin Rentals: June 14 to August 30, Stand-alone Cabins at Northwind Lodge are rented on a Saturday to Saturday basis UNLESS there is a last minute cancellation of a reservation during that time frame or if a cabin happens to be open within a week of your needed dates. We will not accept long-term reservations
for less than a week in Stand-alone Cabins for this time period.

Rustic and Apartments: Rustic Cabins and Apartment units may be rented for less than a week throughout the season depending upon availability.

Nightly Rates for Cabins - Base rates use minimum occupancy. For more people than the minimum, add $10 per person per night. Pets are always charged for and never considered in the minimum occupancy rates. $200 deposit required at time of reservations. Minimum 2 nights stay is required in all instances. Check-In is 3 PM and Check-Out is 9 AM.
